Dr Emi Khoo is a gastroenterologist and endoscopist with a strong background in clinical training. She obtained her Medical Degree (MBBS) from the University of Queensland and her Biomedical Science degree (BMedSc) from the University of Melbourne. Dr Khoo has undergone extensive training in gastroenterology at renowned institutions including the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital. She holds a fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease from Mater Hospital Brisbane and is currently pursuing a PhD in the same field through the University of Queensland.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Khoo is actively involved in medical education. She serves as a lecturer at the Griffith University Medical School and is an associated lecturer for the University of Queensland Medical School. Dr Khoo is committed to providing high-quality education to medical students and is involved in their training and assessments.
Dr Khoo is a member of several professional organizations, including the Royal Australasian College of Physician (RACP), Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Gastroenterological Society of Queensland (GESQ), Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO), The International Bowel Ultrasound Group (IBUS), and The Gastroenterology Network of Intestinal Ultrasound (GENIUS).
With a focus on gastroenterology, Dr Khoo has a particular interest in colonoscopy and endoscopy. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to her patients and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field. Dr Khoo's expertise and passion make her a valuable asset to the medical community.
