Dr Niall Aboud

Dr. Niall Aboud is an experienced ophthalmologist specialising in cataracts, glaucoma, and oculoplastics. He is based in Sunnybank, a suburb in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Dr. Aboud completed his training in ophthalmology, with the majority of it at the prestigious Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. He furthered his specialist training in strabismus and medical retina at Southampton Hospital and Portsmouth Hospital in the United Kingdom in 1998. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Aboud has been practicing ophthalmology in Northern NSW since 1999 and started his private and public practice in Queensland in 2012. His non-metropolitan practice has allowed him to gain extensive expertise in managing diverse ophthalmological conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, lid and lacrimal diseases, and medical retina. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Aboud has been actively involved in registrar training since 2002. He has collaborated with the Sydney Eye Hospital Registrar training scheme and the Queensland Registrar training scheme, demonstrating his commitment to imparting knowledge to the next generation of ophthalmologists. Dr. Aboud is associated with the Ballina Day Surgery and provides year-round after-hours service to the Northern NSW Local Health Network (NLHN), along with his specialist ophthalmologist colleagues. He is highly regarded in Northern NSW and Queensland for his extensive experience and broad skills in ophthalmology.
