Dr Doug King

Dr Doug King is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in lower limb surgery, including the hip, knee, foot, and ankle. He is located in Wellington Point, Brisbane. Dr King obtained his medical degree, with honors, from the University of Queensland in 2000. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (orthopaedics) since 2009.

With his vast experience and expertise, Dr King has a special interest in lower limb surgery, fractures, lower limb trauma surgery, sports injuries, joint replacement surgery, ligament and cartilage reconstruction, and acute injury management. He is also adept in robot-assisted knee replacement surgery and arthroscopy. Dr King is authorized to provide telehealth consultations.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr King has been attached to the Lower Limb Trauma and Arthroplasty Unit at the PA Hospital, where he has been an integral part of the team for several years. He has also served as the Deputy Director of Orthopaedics at the PA Hospital from 2009 to 2017. Throughout his career, Dr King has been actively involved in teaching as a senior lecturer for the UQ Medical School.
