Dr Boris Strekozov

Dr Stekozov is an experienced and highly qualified General Surgeon with a passion for providing exceptional clinical care to his patients. Graduating from the University of Sarajevo with an M.B.B.S. in January 1980, he went on to earn his Fellowship in General Surgery in 1988, as well as his Masters Degree from the same institution in 1991. Until 1993, Dr Stekozov served as a General and Transplant Surgeon and Director of Institute at the University Medical Centre Sarajevo, Institute for Organ Transplantation. In 1994, he moved to Australia and has since worked at several Queensland Hospitals, including Greenslopes Private Hospital, PAH, Mater Hospital & Gold Coast Hospital.

Dr Stekozov obtained his second Fellowship, F.R.A.C.S. in Sydney 2002. He is currently a Senior staff Specialist General Surgeon at Caboolture Public Hospital and consults privately at North Lakes, Strathpine, Aspley and Caboolture Private Hospital. In addition, he has been a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland Medical School since 2003. Dr Stekozov has a special interest in various aspects of surgery with specific emphasis on breast and endocrine surgery, laparoscopic colo-rectal, hernias, endoscopy and colonoscopy, and skin lesions. He is a member of both the RACS Breast Surgery Section and the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.
