Dr Kasra Raufian

Caboolture Private Hospital is excited to welcome Dr Kasra Raufian in July 2020 as a new addition to its team of experts. Dr Raufian is a highly qualified General Surgeon and Gastrointestinal Endoscopist, specialising in Hernia, Breast, Thyroid, Parathyroid, and Laparoscopic Surgery. He received his MD degree in 2006, after completing his medical training in Iran. Dr Raufian’s experience also includes earning his General Surgery Board Certificate in 2013, and working as a consultant surgeon until 2016 when he relocated to Australia.

After moving to Australia from Iran, Dr Raufian continued his medical education and completed a specialized training in Breast/Endocrine and Melanoma Surgery, followed by three years of advanced Laparoscopic and Hernia Surgery training. He has recently achieved his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2019, and has become a Consultant General Surgeon at Redcliffe Hospital in the North Brisbane and Moreton Bay region. Dr Raufian is also a member of BreastSurgANZ society and an accredited Colonoscopist with the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA).
