Dr. Andrew Hughes is a highly accomplished medical professional with over two decades of experience in the field of general surgery. He graduated from the University of Queensland with an MBBS degree in 1995 and completed his Advanced General Surgical Training in 2005. During his extensive career, Dr. Hughes has worked at various hospitals and medical institutions, where he has gained in-depth knowledge and expertise in the areas of renal transplantation and trauma surgery. In 2006, Dr. Hughes took up a Fellowship in Renal Transplantation and Trauma surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, which helped him sharpen his skills and broaden his horizons in the field of surgery. As a result of his dedication and commitment to his profession, he was admitted as a Fellow of RACS, General Surgery. Since December 2007, Dr. Hughes has been serving as a Consultant General Surgeon at The Prince Charles Hospital, where he has established himself as a reputed and respected name in the medical community. Along with his clinical practice, Dr. Hughes is also actively involved in teaching and research, serving as a Senior Lecturer in Surgery for the University of Queensland. He has also been conducting medical missions to different parts of the world to provide healthcare to those in need. Dr. Hughes is highly regarded by his peers and patients alike for his expertise, dedication, and compassionate approach towards healthcare. He is currently consulting and operating at North West Private Hospital in addition to his work at The Prince Charles Hospital. When not at work, Dr. Hughes enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, kiting, playing squash, and indulging in his hobbies of trumpet playing and wine collection.
