Dr Joanne Dale is a highly skilled colorectal and general surgeon who operates and conducts consultations at North West Private Hospital. With extensive experience in all aspects of colorectal surgery, Dr Dale has a special interest in treating colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and anorectal issues. She provides colonoscopy services such as haemorrhoid banding, polypectomy, and anal botox, in addition to anorectal physiology and 3D ultrasound evaluations as part of her specialist colorectal service at North West Private Hospital. Dr Dale finished her Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Fellowship in General Surgery in Queensland in 2009, obtained Conjoint Committee accreditation for colonoscopy in the same year, and finished a further three years of post Fellowship Colorectal Surgery training. She completed full-time training positions at different hospitals, including Gold Coast University Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, and the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Since 2011, Dr Dale has been a Consultant in Colorectal and General Surgery at the Mater Hospital Brisbane, Mater Private Hospital, and Mater Mothers Hospital, where she treats patients from both the public and private sectors. She was appointed as a Senior Surgeon in 2019 and has been the most experienced Colorectal Surgeon at the Mater since 2017. Dr Dale is dedicated to providing holistic care, and she is a strong advocate of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programs. She aims to customize patient treatment to ensure that individual patient concerns are addressed, and to obtain the best possible outcomes.
