Dr Amy Whittaker

Dr. Amy Whittaker is a dedicated consultant paediatrician who has made it her life's work to provide personalized, patient-centered care to children and their families. Currently based at John Flynn Private Hospital in Tugun, Gold Coast, Dr. Whittaker brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her practice.

Having experienced firsthand the anxiety and stress that can accompany concerns about a child's health, development, and overall well-being, Dr. Whittaker takes a collaborative approach, working closely with families and other professionals to deliver the highest-quality care possible.

Dr. Whittaker's medical journey began in the UK, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in Child Health. In 2007, she made the move to Australia, where she obtained her MRCPCH (Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health) and FRACP (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) qualifications.

Over the course of her 7 years of experience within the Sydney Children's Hospital network, Dr. Whittaker developed a particular interest in developmental and behavioral concerns, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD. This special interest has guided her practice and shaped her approach to caring for children with these conditions.

Dr. Whittaker offers specialist paediatric care for newborns, children, and adolescents, addressing a wide range of general and specific medical concerns.
