Dr Scott Blundell is an accomplished Paediatrician at Leading Steps and has been consulting at Pindara Private Hospital since 2013. Dr Blundell completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney and underwent his paediatrics training at Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. Throughout his training, Dr Blundell worked in numerous speciality areas such as Paediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Intensive Care, as well as neurology and renal subspecialties. Dr Blundell holds an additional qualification as a physiotherapist and was awarded the prestigious University Medal for Physiotherapy at Sydney University. Before pursuing his medical studies, Dr Blundell worked as a paediatric physiotherapist for two years at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Additionally, he is an accredited instructor of Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS), signifying his expertise in conducting medical procedures and care for critically ill patients. Dr Blundell’s notable awards and achievements include: 2004 AMA Prize Student Prize for Leadership (The University of Sydney), The University Medal (1999), The Alcusal Prize for Research (1999), and The Research Foundation Research Prize (1999)– all earned through years of study and research dedication. In his leisure time, Dr Blundell enjoys music and has great skill in playing the guitar. He has a fondness for tough and challenging obstacles by competing in the “Tough Mudder” and “Spartan” challenges. Dr Blundell also supports the Canberra Raiders rugby team.
