Dr Suresh Goriparti

Dr Suresh Goriparti is a respected Consultant Psychiatrist who specializes in treating patients with psychiatric disorders. Based in Frenchs Forest, Sydney, he has extensive experience and expertise in the field of Mental Health.

Dr Goriparti obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2002. After gaining membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK, he pursued a Fellowship from The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists after relocating to Australia in 2007. This additional qualification further established his expertise in the field of psychiatry.

Throughout his career, Dr Goriparti has worked in various psychiatric departments, focusing primarily on Mental Health in the Central Coast and Hornsby areas. He started his work at the Lyndsey Madew Unit at Hornsby Hospital before moving on to serve as a Staff Specialist in Community Psychiatry at Hornsby Hospital and as a Visiting Medical Officer at Wyong Hospital. Currently, he is a valued member of the team of psychiatrists at Berkeley Vale Clinic.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Goriparti is actively involved in teaching medical students and Psychiatry trainees. He has been involved in teaching for the University of Sydney and Northern Sydney and Central Coast, providing valuable guidance to the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Dr Goriparti adopts a holistic approach to patient care and utilizes psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy interventions to treat adult and elderly patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions. He has a particular interest in treating psychotic mood disorders and employs Electroconvulsive Therapy as a treatment option when appropriate.
