Dr Kate Barclay

Dr Kate Barclay is a highly qualified and experienced respiratory and sleep medicine specialist who obtained her degree from the University of New South Wales. She completed her residency training at Gosford Hospital and pursued her physician training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Royal North Shore and Concord Hospitals. Kate was also awarded a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University. She was conferred the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2008, and since then, she has been serving as a private consultant at Peninsula Respiratory Group – a renowned medical practice that diagnoses and treats respiratory and sleep disorders on the Northern Beaches.

Dr Barclay's expertise extends to treating various respiratory and sleep conditions, including interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, and mycobacterial disease. She also works as a visiting medical officer at the Peninsula Sleep Clinic and the Mona Vale Hospital tuberculosis chest clinic. Dr Barclay has been a visiting medical officer at Northern Beaches Hospital since it opened and is now leading the Respiratory department, responsible for providing exceptional care to her patients.

With years of experience in the field, Dr Barclay has established excellent relationships with other healthcare professionals on the Northern Beaches. She has dedicated her career to providing the highest standard of treatment to her patients whilst also being an active member of the medical community continually seeking to enhance her skills and knowledge.
