Dr David Baker is a clinical academic cardiologist specialising in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) and advanced cardiac imaging (MRI). He has a broader interest in arrhythmia, heart failure, and pulmonary hypertension. Currently, Dr Baker works as a Staff Specialist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia, where he completed his sub-specialty training in ACHD.
Dr Baker is dedicated to furthering his expertise in advanced cardiac imaging and is a reporting Cardiologist via Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance in Sydney. His passion for improving the care and treatment of congenital heart conditions extends to his involvement with the Health Advisory Board for HeartKids Australia, as well as the Executive Board for the CHiP Network, an international network for congenital heart professionals.
Dr Baker obtained his medical degrees from the University of Newcastle in 2007 and the Australian National University in 2011. Subsequently, he completed his FRACP in 2019 after undergoing medical and cardiology training at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and Sydney.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Baker is actively engaged in teaching and is appointed as a Clinical Lecturer for the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney.
