Dr Shanthi Carnelio

Dr. Carnelio is an experienced endocrinologist with a special interest in the management of type 1 diabetes, obesity, and endocrine disorders in pregnancy. After completing her MRCP in 2006, Dr. Carnelio gained experience in various subspecialties of Internal Medicine while working for the NHS hospitals in the United Kingdom for six years. She was later admitted to the fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013 after completing her training in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine at major teaching hospitals in and around Brisbane such as GPH, PAH, Mater, Gold Coast, and Logan Hospitals. She also completed further training in Obstetric Medicine at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane.

At present, Dr. Carnelio practices at Greenslopes Private Hospital where she manages general endocrine conditions and participates in the Endocrinology on-call roster. She is accredited at the Mater Hospital in Endocrinology and Obstetric Medicine. Dr. Carnelio is dedicated to helping her patients with endocrine disorders live their lives to the fullest by providing individualized and comprehensive care. She strives to make a positive difference in the lives of her patients by providing the latest evidence-based treatments and working with them to establish achievable and realistic goals.

Dr. Carnelio has taken on Dr. Elisabeth Nye's patients after her relocation interstate. She is an accomplished endocrinologist with vast experience and knowledge in the field. Dr. Carnelio represents the best that the medical profession has to offer, and her patients can trust that they are receiving the highest possible level of care.
