Dr Sanmarie Duddridge is a well-qualified Physician and Geriatrician who completed her medical degree, internship and community service in South Africa before moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2007. She has a keen interest in cognitive impairment, falls prevention and advanced care planning and is a strong advocate for holistic patient-centered care. As an experienced researcher and educator, Dr Duddridge has previously served as a lecturer for the School of Medicine at the Sunshine Coast Clinical School. Her research focus has been on improving the care of elderly patients within the hospital system. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the healthcare sector, Dr Duddridge has been awarded an “Award of Excellence” for engagement and has contributed to the development of various patient treatment protocols within Queensland Health. Apart from her professional interests, Dr Duddridge enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, bushwalking, participating in amateur photography, and exploring the wonders of astronomy. As a dedicated and passionate healthcare professional, Dr Duddridge remains committed to enhancing patient outcomes and promoting community health initiatives.
