Dr Manu Mathur

Dr Manu Mathur is a highly regarded Cardiothoracic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in the field. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Sydney in 1989 before specialising in General Surgery and later Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr Mathur was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery and later gained his Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2000.

Dr Mathur's dedication to excellence was evident in his commitment to continuing professional education. He spent the subsequent two and a half years in various cardiothoracic fellowship posts overseas, including Oxford UK, Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA, and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, USA.

Dr Mathur is highly skilled in an array of cardiothoracic surgery including Valve Surgery (mitral valve repair, valve replacement, re-operative valve surgery), Aortic surgery (aneurysm, dissection, arch surgery), and Lung Surgery (Lung Cancer, thoracoscopy). Dr Mathur began his consultant cardiothoracic practice in 2002 at the Royal North Shore Hospital and North Shore Private Hospital.
