Andrew Pearson is an Associate Professor and a specialist General Surgeon. He completed his Physiotherapy and Medicine degrees at the University of Sydney and received his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons through Royal North Shore Hospital. Andrew has a special interest in acute general surgery, surgery of the liver, pancreas, and biliary tract, and bariatric surgery. He is trained in gastroscopy and colonoscopy and also specialises in abdominal wall hernia repair.
Furthermore, Andrew completed a year of fellowship training in liver, pancreas, and biliary surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital and attained a Fellowship in General Practice from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He holds appointments at the Northern Beaches Hospital and is actively involved in the Australian Defence Force and has been deployed on multiple occasions to both military conflicts and humanitarian missions.
An active father of three children, Andrew is also a keen sports enthusiast and has completed an ironman triathlon. He now describes himself as a part-time runner. Andrew consults at both the Northern Beaches Hospital and in Hornsby.
