Meet Dr Emily Granger, a Cardiothoracic and Heart and Lung Transplant Surgeon renowned for her more than two-decade-long experience in the medical field. Since her graduation from the University of Queensland in 1997, Dr Granger has performed more than 1400 general cardiothoracic operations and over 100 heart and lung transplants, earning her a place among the most skilled surgeons in the world.

Dr Granger underwent surgical fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2006 before joining the NSW Organ Tissue Donation Service and the Deceased Donor Organ Procurement Surgeon Committee in 2007. Her passion and dedication towards organ donation have resulted in remarkable achievements, including her involvement in the first successful organ donation after circulatory death (DCD) heart transplant in July 2014.
