Dr Roger Brighton

Dr. Brighton is an orthopaedic surgeon based in Westmead, Sydney. He specializes in surgeries involving the hip and knee, with a particular interest in joint replacement surgery using minimally invasive techniques. He is associated with Westmead Private Hospital.

Dr. Brighton obtained his medical degree (MBBS) in 1986 from the University of NSW. He completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney in 1995. In order to further enhance his expertise, he underwent additional training at the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Hospital in Toronto, Canada, as well as at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, where he held the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship.

Dr. Brighton's professional interests include arthroscopic knee surgery, including ACL reconstruction and OATS procedures (Osteochondral Autograft Transfer System). He is also highly experienced in performing revision joint replacement surgeries and specializes in hip resurfacing. Dr. Brighton is passionate about providing effective treatment for hip disease in adults, with a focus on preserving bone and joint function.

Having been registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency since 1987, Dr. Brighton adheres to the highest standards of medical practice. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Orth) and a member of the Fellowship of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA).
