Dr Manish Gupta

Dr. Manish Gupta is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in disorders of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Dr. Gupta obtained his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine degrees from The University of New South Wales in 1999. He then completed his training in orthopedic surgery with the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, earning his specialist qualifications in 2010.

Driven by his passion for his field, Dr. Gupta pursued further training opportunities, including a Hand and Upper Limb Fellowship at The Royal Brisbane Hospital and The Calvert Fellowship at the Shoulder Unit of the Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth in London, UK. These experiences allowed him to deepen his knowledge and surgical skills in the treatment of shoulder and elbow disorders. He was subsequently appointed at The Royal Free Hospital NHS in London.

Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Gupta undertook additional training in Paris at the Institut de la main (hand surgery), as well as at The New York Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University, where he focused on microsurgery. He also completed the AO Foundation upper limb Masters and hand/wrist Masters courses in Switzerland and was a traveling Anglo Dutch sports surgery fellow.

Dr. Gupta has worked at several major teaching hospitals across Australia, including Townsville, Brisbane, and Melbourne. He now practices his expertise in his native Sydney. Renowned for his non-operative, keyhole, minimally invasive, and open reconstruction techniques, Dr. Gupta is dedicated to providing the best possible treatment and care to his patients with shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand disorders.
