Dr Joshua Sappiatzer

Dr Joshua Sappiatzer is an experienced Radiation Oncologist based in Bedford Park, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. He obtained his medical qualifications, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, from the University of Adelaide. After completing his internship at the prestigious Royal Adelaide Hospital, he pursued his postgraduate training in Radiation Oncology at Adelaide Radiotherapy Centre, culminating in his successful completion at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Dr Sappiatzer's dedication to honing his expertise led him to engage in an enriching professional experience overseas. In 2012 and 2013, he worked at the renowned Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada. During his time there, he undertook a Clinical Fellowship that focused on advanced techniques in prostate and penile brachytherapy, breast intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), and stereotactic lung radiotherapy. Dr Sappiatzer actively participated in various research projects and contributed to the development and implementation of innovative protocols.

With extensive knowledge and skills across a wide range of oncological areas, Dr Sappiatzer holds a particular interest in breast, lung, and genitourinary cancers, as well as head and neck and upper gastrointestinal tumors. Additionally, he is passionate about participating in clinical trials that pave the way for advancements in medical treatments.

Dr Sappiatzer operates from the Adelaide Radiotherapy Centre Clinics, located at Flinders Private Hospital and the Tennyson Centre in Kurralta Park. His commitment to patient care extends beyond these locations, as he also serves as a visiting medical specialist at Repatriation General Hospital and Whyalla Hospital.
