Dr Luay Samaraie

Dr Luay Samaraie is an exceptionally skilled Cardiologist based in Leabrook, Adelaide, South Australia. With his extensive training and expertise in the field, he is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients.

Dr Samaraie earned his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Al-Mustansiriyah College of Medicine in Iraq in 1994. After completing his medical degree, he pursued his post-graduate clinical cardiology training in New Zealand where he worked at prestigious institutions such as Auckland and Middlemore Hospitals.

In recognition of his outstanding skills and knowledge, Dr Samaraie was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011. This further solidified his credentials as a renowned Cardiologist.

To enhance his expertise, Dr Samaraie undertook a Fellowship in Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT Coronary Angiography at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. This additional training allowed him to develop specialization in non-invasive imaging of the heart, enabling him to provide accurate and reliable diagnostic assessments.

Currently, Dr Samaraie is a Consultant Cardiologist at Adelaide Cardiology, where he has been practicing since 2013. He is dedicated to the prevention and management of heart disease, with a particular emphasis on non-invasive imaging, primary prevention, and the treatment of ischemic heart disease and heart failure.

Dr Samaraie's consultations and non-invasive imaging investigations take place at the St Andrew’s Medical Centre, as well as various clinics in Leabrook, Modbury, Mount Barker, Clare, and Broken Hill.
