Dr Manoja Palliyaguru

Dr. Manoja Palliyaguru is an exceptionally skilled radiation oncologist specialising in the treatment of breast cancer, gynaecological cancer, and prostate cancer. She currently serves as a consultant at Radiation Oncology Centres (ROC) located in Springfield, Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.

Dr. Palliyaguru completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on pharmacology and physiology at the University of Sydney. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Medicine with Honours (MBBS Hons) degree in 2003 from the same university. Her dedication and commitment to her field led her to pursue further training in radiation oncology.

She completed her radiation oncology training at renowned institutions including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra, and Mater Campus Radiation Oncology Services in Brisbane. After successfully completing her training, she was conferred with the prestigious fellowship of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2013.

Dr. Palliyaguru’s passion for clinical research and advancement in the field of radiation oncology is evident through her accomplishments. In 2014, she was honored with the Windeyer Fellowship by the RANZCR, which allowed her to undertake a Clinical Research Fellowship at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, UK. Under the guidance of Professor Peter Hoskin, she collaborated on various clinical research projects and received mentorship from esteemed senior clinical oncologists across different subspecialty areas.

With her extensive educational background and clinical experience, Dr. Palliyaguru brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. She is committed to providing the highest standard of care to her patients, ensuring that they receive the best possible treatment outcomes.

Apart from her professional achievements, Dr. Palliyaguru is also multilingual. In addition to English, she is fluent in Sinhala, which allows her to effectively communicate and connect with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
