Dr Mutalithas is a highly experienced respiratory specialist with a wealth of training and expertise in the field of medicine. He graduated from the University of Sheffield, School of Medicine in the UK in 1997, before embarking on a dynamic career that has taken him to some of the most respected medical institutions in both the UK and Australia. After completing his junior doctor training in hospitals across the UK, Dr Mutalithas became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2000. He then went on to train in Respiratory Medicine at a number of prestigious sites, including the Central Middlesex Hospital in London, the North West Lung Centre in Manchester, and the Manchester Royal Infirmary. During this time, he also spent two years as a clinical research fellow, where he specialized in studying the immune processes within the asthmatic lung, and he received an MD in 2008. In 2009, Dr Mutalithas relocated to Australia, where he has continued to work as a Consultant Respiratory Physician in a number of hospitals in Brisbane. He became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2010, and has been consulting at the John Flynn Private Hospital since 2011. Aside from his expertise in respiratory medicine, Dr Mutalithas has maintained knowledge and expertise in a range of medical disciplines, and is also credentialed in General Medicine. He is passionate about teaching and currently serves as a member of the teaching faculty for undergraduate medical students at the Robina Public Hospital. With his extensive medical knowledge and experience, Dr Mutalithas is dedicated to providing the highest quality care for his patients, and bringing his expertise to patients throughout the region.
