Dr Mahmoud Alkhater

Dr Alkhater is a skilled respiratory specialist with a wealth of training and experience under his belt. He received his medical degree from the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2008 and then went on to undertake advanced training in respiratory medicine in various hospitals across the country. After working as a respiratory consultant in New Zealand, Dr Alkhater traveled to Germany to complete an observership in advanced bronchoscopy procedures before finally settling in Brisbane to undertake a fellowship in the same area at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

Now fully qualified and highly experienced in advanced bronchoscopy procedures, Dr Alkhater divides his time between several hospitals across Queensland. He works at Gold Coast University Hospital, Premier Specialist Clinic, Mackay Private Hospital, and has recently commenced practising at the Gold Coast Private Hospital. Dr Alkhater is a proud member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, as well as the European Respiratory Society. With a wealth of experience and a passion for his field, Dr Alkhater is a valuable asset to the medical profession, and continues to provide his patients with high-quality care and life-improving treatment.
