Dr Kirryn Williams is a qualified General Physician and Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician with a goal of providing quality healthcare to regional Australians. She graduated from James Cook University in 2007, with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Her medical training has been undertaken in both tertiary centers and regional areas, including the Northern Territory, Western Australia, and Cape York Peninsula. Her respiratory training was completed at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital. She then went on to complete a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr Williams is trained and qualified to analyze, interpret and report sleep studies and complex lung function tests. She has a special interest in conditions affecting sleep, including sleep apnea, respiratory muscle weakness, as well as hypersomnolence syndromes and dream disorders. Along with her specialized focus, Dr Williams has an interest in all respiratory conditions, including asthma, smoking-related lung diseases, pulmonary vascular disorders, lung cancer, and diagnostic bronchoscopy. She also finds managing complex medical patients perioperatively, especially bariatric patients, particularly rewarding. Dr Kirryn Williams brings extensive and varied experience to provide excellent healthcare for her patients in regional Australia.
