Dr Bill Regalo

Dr. Guillermo Regalo, commonly known as “Bill”, is a highly skilled surgeon who specialises in breast and general surgery procedures. Based in Belmont, he serves patients in the Lake Macquarie area and works in three hospitals - Belmont, John Hunter, and Lake Macquarie Private Hospitals.

Dr. Regalo’s passion for surgery started early in life, and he pursued his surgical training as a registrar in the Hunter Network, followed by a Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014. He further honed his skills in breast surgery by completing Fellowship Training in 2014 and oncoplastic courses at the Royal College of Surgeons in London in 2015. He is presently employed as the Director of Surgery for Belmont Hospital and a consultant Breast and General Surgeon since 2015 at The Breast Centre.

Apart from his clinical duties, Dr. Regalo is committed to surgical training and education. He worked as Clinical Superintendent in the Department of Surgery twice at John Hunter Hospital - first in 2013 and later in 2015. He is currently the Training Supervisor for Belmont Hospital and also serves on the Court of Examiners for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Dr. Regalo offers a comprehensive range of general surgery and breast surgery options for his patients, drawing on his vast experience and expertise in surgical procedures. He is GESA accredited in upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy and trained in both open and laparoscopic general surgical procedures. He specialises in breast cancer treatment, screening, and surveillance and provides high-quality treatment options to patients in both the public and private sectors.
