Dr Kerrie Lewis

Dr Kerrie Lewis is a skilled surgeon who completed her medical studies at The University of Newcastle in Australia. Although initially interested in paediatric medicine, Dr Lewis eventually found her true passion in surgery. She pursued a post-graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy at Melbourne University and worked in general surgery training in the Hunter New England Network where she gained extensive experience in all areas of general surgery and some subspecialties. Following this, Dr Lewis became a general surgical fellow at Gosford District Hospital before assuming the role of Staff Specialist at The Maitland Hospital in New South Wales in 2013.

Currently, Dr Lewis is a part of the IBReST team and is committed to providing both benign and malignant breast conditions with comprehensive and up to date surgical care. To ensure she is continuously developing her skills, she is participating in courses to hone in on her diagnosis and management skills in breast disease, and is regularly attending programs focusing on breast oncoplastic surgery techniques as well as ultrasound techniques. Dr Lewis’s expertise is outstanding and she is dedicated to giving her patients exceptional care every day.
