Dr Senthil Kumar

Senthil is an experienced vascular and endovascular consultant surgeon, originally from India, who has been practicing in Australia for nearly a decade. He received his medical degree and surgical training in India before moving to England to further his surgical education. During his higher surgical training and specialist training in Vascular surgery, Senthil conducted research in the areas of varicose veins and vascular access in dialysis patients.

After completing his training in the Mersey region of England, Senthil spent a year at John Hunter Hospital in endovascular fellowship. At the end of his fellowship, he was appointed as a consultant at John Hunter Hospital, where he practiced until he and his family migrated to Newcastle in 2013. With high volume surgical experience, Senthil is committed to providing outstanding patient care.

When he’s not working, Senthil enjoys spending time with his wife and two lively children. He’s also a talented cook and a passionate sports fan, with a particular interest in cricket and Liverpool FC. Senthil also enjoys taking walks and using these reflective moments to unwind.
