Dr Farnoush Noushi

Dr Noushi is a highly qualified Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon, Surgical Oncologist, and General Surgeon, with over two decades of experience. He operates at North Shore Private Hospital and has two rooms, one on the North Shore and one on the Northern Beaches, where he provides comprehensive care to public and private patients. Dr Noushi is a specialist in breast cancer surgeries, including reconstructive and oncoplastic surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy, therapeutic mammoplasty, breast reduction, implant, and tissue transfer breast reconstruction. He is part of the breast cancer multi-disciplinary team at North Shore Private Hospital, where he works closely with other experts to ensure that his patients receive optimal care.

Dr Noushi is highly skilled in several other areas, including laparoscopic hernia repair, gastrointestinal surgery, skin cancer, and soft tissue surgery. As a mentor and surgical trainer at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he is passionate about contributing to the development of the next generation of surgeons.

Dr Noushi began his medical journey at the University of Melbourne, where he completed his medical training with honors. He then obtained his FRACS in Melbourne before moving to Sydney in 2005 to specialize in breast and oncology surgery at RPAH. Further research and training at the NSW Cancer Institute, Royal North Shore, and Mater Hospitals prepared Dr Noushi to be awarded the Cancer Institute Fellowship Award, John Collins Gold Medal, as well as several travel and research grants, for his pioneering work in sentinel lymph node biopsy. This research has been practice-changing, and Dr. Noushi was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for his work.
