Dr Paul Chen

Dr Paul Chen is a highly-skilled Breast, Endocrine, and General surgeon with a wealth of experience in oncoplastic breast surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, utilising the latest nerve monitoring techniques. Having graduated from the University of Auckland, he went on to complete his surgical training at St Vincent's Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, followed by two years of post-fellowship training with BreastSurgANZ in oncoplastic breast and endocrine surgery at high volume centers in Perth and Melbourne.

Dr Chen is committed to staying on the forefront of breast surgery techniques and has further trained with world-renowned oncoplastic breast surgeons in France and Italy. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, has presented in international forums on a broad range of surgical topics, and holds a Masters of Surgery in Oncoplastics Breast Surgery. Dr Chen was also awarded the John Loewenthal medal for research from the University of Sydney.

Dr Chen practices at St George Private Hospital and Chris O'Brien Lifehouse as a VMO and has been appointed as a Breast Surgeon by Breast Screen NSW. Fluent in both Mandarin and Taiwanese, Dr. Chen prioritises effective communication with his patients, providing the best possible patient care by combining exceptional oncological results with maximum aesthetic outcomes.
