Dr Angus Moxon

Dr Angus Moxon is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in lower limb conditions, particularly those of the knee, foot, and ankle. Located in Ipswich, Dr Moxon brings his expertise and passion for knee, foot, and ankle surgery to his patients.

Dr Moxon began his medical career as a physiotherapist, earning a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 1998. Following several years of experience as a physiotherapist in the United Kingdom, Dr Moxon returned to Australia to complete his medical degree at the University of Queensland. He then completed his residency at Gold Coast and Ipswich Hospitals before dedicating himself to Orthopaedic Surgery.

To further his knowledge and skills in the field, Dr Moxon underwent five years of Orthopaedic surgical training at various hospitals in Queensland. During his training, he had the privilege of working alongside Dr Terry Saxby, a renowned foot and ankle surgeon, to enhance his expertise in this area. Dr Moxon remains committed to ongoing education, regularly attending conferences and participating in international visitations to stay up to date with the latest advancements in knee, foot, and ankle surgery.

Dr Moxon is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a member of professional associations such as the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Australian Foot and Ankle Society. He has contributed to research studies and is passionate about participating in outreach programs, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

Although he is no longer the Director of Orthopaedics at Ipswich General Hospital, Dr Moxon remains dedicated to serving the Ipswich community. He is currently on staff as a specialist at the Ipswich Public Hospital and is part of the Ipswich Orthopaedic Group. Dr Moxon welcomes new patient referrals and utilizes the latest technology and techniques in his surgeries, including computer navigation in Total Knee Replacement, to provide the best possible outcomes for his patients.
