Prof Michael Schuetz

Prof Michael Schuetz is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest and expertise in trauma care, particularly in cases involving upper/lower limb trauma, pelvic injuries, spine injuries, and paediatric trauma. He obtained his medical qualifications, including a Dr.med. (RWTHAachen) and a Dr.med.habil. (HU Berlin), through his medical training at the Philips University Marburg and Ludwig Maximillian University Munich in Germany. He also gained valuable experience as a guest student in various reputable institutions in the USA. Prof Schuetz completed his internship in Switzerland before joining Charite Hospital in Berlin, where he worked until 2004. Since then, he has held prestigious positions, including Professor and Chair of Trauma at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Queensland University of Technology. In 2007, he became the Director of Trauma at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Prof Schuetz is fluent in English, French, and German.
