Dr Martin Lowe

Dr Martin Lowe is an Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Chermside, Brisbane. He specializes in Orthopaedic Oncology, primary hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacements, and lower limb trauma. Dr Lowe completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 2007 and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Orthopaedics in 2018.

Dr Lowe has further honed his skills through a fellowship at the renowned Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, UK, where he trained under the guidance of Professor Lee Jeys, a world-renowned surgeon. He gained extensive experience in surgical management using 3-Dimensional intra-operative computer navigation for adult and pediatric sarcomas. Additionally, he acquired valuable expertise in complex primary and revision joint replacement of the hip and knee. Dr Lowe also worked at the West Midlands Bone and Joint Infection Unit, where he gained innovative surgical skills in managing joint infections.

As an active participant in numerous research projects, Dr Lowe has presented at international scientific meetings in the fields of oncology and joint replacement. He holds dual Staff Specialist appointments at the Queensland Children's Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he also serves as the Deputy Director of Orthopaedics. Dr Lowe consults and operates at the Wesley Hospital, upholding his commitment to providing exceptional orthopaedic care in a caring and friendly environment.
