Dr Simon Gatehouse

Dr Simon Gatehouse is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in adult and paediatric spinal surgery. He has been a Visiting Medical Practitioner at The Wesley Hospital since 2007.

Dr Gatehouse holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Queensland, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Ortho) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He is also a certified Independent Medical Examiner.

After completing his training as an orthopaedic surgeon in Queensland, Dr Gatehouse furthered his post-surgical fellowship training at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, United Kingdom. He successfully completed a Fellowship in Spinal Surgery, specializing in both the adult and paediatric spine. He is a member of the Spine Society of Australia.

Dr Gatehouse's primary interests include all areas of spinal disorders in adults and scoliosis surgery, as well as treating all types of scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, and other paediatric spinal conditions.

With his extensive qualifications and expertise, Dr Gatehouse is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to his patients in Auchenflower, Brisbane.
