Dr Vi Nguyen

Dr Vi Nguyen is a highly accomplished gastroenterologist and hepatologist based in Chatswood, Sydney. She graduated with honours from the prestigious medical program at UNSW and has since become a leading expert in her field. Dr Nguyen underwent extensive training at Westmead and Liverpool hospitals in Sydney, where she gained valuable experience in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Passionate about advancing her knowledge and expertise, Dr Nguyen embarked on a two-year research masters program focusing on gut microbiota and liver disease. This involved collaboration with University College London and Sydney University. Seeking further specialization, she completed a clinical fellowship at the renowned King's College Hospital in London, UK.

Currently, Dr Nguyen serves as a staff specialist at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. She is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to her patients and holds admitting rights at both public and private hospitals. Her areas of expertise encompass a wide range of gastroenterological conditions, including viral hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), liver cancer, general hepatology, and general gastroenterology. Within gastroenterology, she has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as well as bowel cancer screening, gastro-oesophageal reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, and other related conditions.

Dr Nguyen's commitment to advancing knowledge and improving patient care is demonstrated through her involvement in teaching and ongoing research projects. She has authored several publications on viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and general gastroenterology.
