Dr Simmi Zahid

Dr Simmi Zahid is an exceptionally skilled Gastroenterologist specialising in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. With a particular interest in pancreatic and biliary diseases, she serves as a consultant Gastroenterologist in Wahroonga, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Dr Zahid obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of New South Wales in 2012. Following this, she completed her basic physicians and advanced training in Gastroenterology at Westmead and Liverpool Hospitals. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and further pursued advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship training at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospitals for two years. During this time, she gained expertise in ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) and endoscopic mucosal resection. Dr Zahid actively participated in clinical research projects and remains dedicated to teaching both medical students and trainee doctors.

Aside from her extensive expertise in therapeutic endoscopy, Dr Zahid's clinical proficiency includes managing various areas of general gastroenterology and hepatology. She holds accreditation for gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
