Dr May Wong is an exceptionally skilled gastroenterologist based in Burwood, Sydney. With expertise in various areas, including functional gut disorders, liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and bowel cancer screening, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care to her patients.
Dr Wong completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales and her physician training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She went on to specialise in gastroenterology, undertaking her training and fellowship at the renowned Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Alfred in Melbourne.
During her fellowship training, Dr Wong focused on functional gut disorders and motility conditions, collaborating with specialist dietitians, hypnotherapists, and pelvic floor physiotherapists. She strongly believes in evidence-based care and completed her PhD on a novel agent in chronic disease at the University of Sydney in 2020.
