Dr. Bagia is a highly specialized surgeon in the field of Hepatobiliary Surgery. Her clinical expertise lies in performing surgeries related to liver, pancreas, and bile ducts, along with upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy. Dr. Bagia also takes a keen interest in treating patients with benign and malignant conditions of the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder as well as gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors.
After completing her MBBS from Sydney University in 1995, Dr. Bagia continued her surgical training on the Central Sydney scheme, and successfully attained the fellowship in general surgery in 2002. She then completed post-fellowship training in transplant and hepatobiliary surgery, gaining valuable experience across various reputed institutions in Liverpool, Birmingham, and Pittsburgh.
Dr. Bagia's research interests are focused on colorectal cancer liver metastases and preoperative staging of pancreatic cancer. In 2013, she completed her Masters in Surgery (Surgical Oncology) from Sydney University, where her dissertation was based on the diagnostic test accuracy of primovist MR in diagnosing colorectal cancer liver metastases.
Currently, Dr. Bagia is committed to optimizing the care for chest trauma in remote settings and assessing benign liver tumors with the help of Primovist MRI. As a seasoned surgeon, she takes a compassionate and individualized approach towards patient care, emphasizing the importance of patient education and transparency in her practice.
