Dr Visvanathapillai Manoharan

Dr. Manoharan is a highly experienced general surgeon who specialises in performing laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures. He obtained his MBBS from Jaffna University after completing his initial medical training in Sri Lanka. After obtaining his Master of Surgery (MS) from the Sri Lankan College of Surgeons, he pursued advanced surgical training and was subsequently awarded a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Scotland (FRCSEd). He later worked in various hospitals in Queensland, Tasmania and New South Wales, including the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he underwent further advanced training and obtained his fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

With over thirty years of surgical experience, Dr. Manoharan is passionate about passing on his knowledge and skills. He is involved in teaching registrar at Auburn Hospital and has a teaching position at the University of Notre Dame. His mission is to provide high-quality services to his patients, so that there is a measurable difference in their quality of life. Using advancements in surgical techniques and innovations, he is continuously looking for ways to improve surgical outcomes.

He has special interests in performing Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy, Hernia repair, Gastrointestinal surgery, Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and Excision of skin lesions, including skin cancers, lipoma, and nail disorders. He operates in accredited hospitals such as Strathfield Private Hospital, Sydney Private Hospital, Auburn Hospital, and Canterbury Hospital.
