Dr Sarah Choi

Dr. Sarah Choi is a compassionate female Gynaecologist based in Kogarah, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She is highly experienced in the field of gynaecology and has a special interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). With her expertise in laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques, she is able to provide the highest standard of care to her patients.

Dr. Choi holds several prestigious qualifications, including a Postgraduate Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery from SWEC Syd in 2013. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (F.R.A.N.Z.C.O.G) since 2012, as well as a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (F.H.K.C.O.G) and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (F.H.K.A.M. O&G) since 2011. Additionally, she holds a Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (M.R.C.O.G) from the United Kingdom since 2009. Dr. Choi obtained her medical degree (M.B.Ch.B.) in 2004.

Dr. Choi's commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in her field is evident through her numerous awards and publications. Some of her notable achievements include the development of the Sydney Contained In-Bag Morcellation Technique, which was published in the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology in 2014. She also received the Best Video Awards at the BSGE Annual Congress 2014 for her work on laparoscopic partial cystectomy bilateral ureteric reimplantation in severe bladder endometriosis. Furthermore, her research on the recurrence of anterior vaginal prolapse after sacrocolpopexy and its correlation with mesh placement won the Best Free Communication award at the AGES Pelvic Floor Symposium 2013.

Dr. Choi's special interests lie in the areas of pelvic pain, endometriosis, hysterectomy, menstrual disorders, abnormal vaginal bleeding, myomectomy (removal of fibroids), and pelvic floor disorders. She is able to provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management for conditions such as fibroids, heavy periods, ovarian cysts, fertility problems, and abnormal uterine bleeding.
