Dr David Rosen is a highly skilled gynaecologist specialising in minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. He received his medical degree from the University of Sydney in 1988 and went on to complete his specialist training at King George V Hospital in Sydney. Following his training, Dr Rosen pursued a fellowship in Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgery at the Sydney Women's Endosurgery Centre at St George Hospital.
In order to further enhance his expertise, Dr Rosen undertook a fellowship in the United Kingdom under the guidance of Professor C.J. Sutton at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
Returning to Australia in 1999, Dr Rosen assumed the position of Director at the Sydney Women's Endosurgery Centre. Alongside this role, he also served as a Visiting Medical Officer at St George Hospital. Subsequently, he became a VMO at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick. At present, Dr Rosen consults and operates at various hospitals, including St George Private Hospital, St Lukes Private Hospital in Potts Point, Macquarie University Hospital, and North Ryde. In addition, he runs a public outpatient service and operating list at both the RHW and St George Public Hospital. Dr Rosen is affiliated with the country's pioneering Robotic Unit in benign gynaecology, featuring the latest Versius system, at Macquarie University Hospital.
As a leading authority in keyhole surgery, Dr Rosen specialises in treating a wide range of gynaecological conditions. This includes myomectomy (fibroid removal), laparoscopic excision of endometriosis, prolapse, hysterectomy, incontinence, pelvic pain disorders, menstrual abnormalities, and fertility issues. He has also published newsletters titled "What's New in Gynaecology" to keep General Practitioners across New South Wales informed about the latest advancements in the field.
Committed to patient-centered care, Dr Rosen's general gynaecology practice encompasses pap smear abnormalities, colposcopies, Cervical Screening Tests, and all other gynaecological reviews. His special interests lie in performing laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy, excision of all stages of endometriosis, managing pelvic pain disorders, and addressing menstrual abnormalities.
