Dr Jamnagerwalla is a highly skilled specialist colorectal surgeon with extensive experience performing all types of acute and elective general surgical operations, including hernia and gallbladder surgery. He acquired his undergraduate medical degree from the prestigious University of New South Wales, following which he completed his general surgical fellowship at St George Hospital network in conjunction with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has undertaken post-fellowship speciality training in colorectal surgery through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand, during which he spent a year at St Marks Hospital in London, a world-renowned tertiary centre for complex colorectal referrals from the UK and abroad.
Upon his return, Dr Jamnagerwalla established his practice in his birthplace and hometown of Sutherland Shire, where he received his education as well. His extensive training has equipped him with exceptional skills in laparoscopic “keyhole” colorectal surgery. He is one of the few trainees to have completed a year of surgical training at Colchester General Hospital in the United Kingdom, which pioneered this revolutionary approach to treatment.
Dr Jamnagerwalla is actively engaged in training undergraduate medical students and postgraduate surgical trainees, and is also a Conjoint Lecturer with the University of New South Wales. He is a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) General and Colorectal Surgeon at Sutherland Hospital, Kareena Private Hospital, Ramsay Surgical Centre Miranda and St George Private Hospital. With his expertise and commitment to his patients and teaching, Dr Jamnagerwalla has become a highly respected expert in the field of colorectal surgery.
