Dr Kim is an accomplished colorectal and robotic surgeon with a passion for teaching, research, and providing exceptional patient care. Graduating with honours from the University of New South Wales, Dr Kim went on to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand. Her clinical practice is dedicated to the management of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and anorectal pathology, and she works closely with endogynaecology and urogynaecology specialists to manage conditions of the pelvic floor. As a leader in robotic colorectal surgery, Dr Kim has performed over 500 procedures on the robotic platform and is one of the most experienced surgeons of this type in Australia. She holds certification as a Master Surgeon and is the program director of the Centre of Excellence in Robotic, Minimally Invasive and Colorectal Surgery at Hurstville Private Hospital. Additionally, she is a da Vinci robotic proctor and helps train surgeons in robotic techniques. Dr Kim's dedication to teaching has earned her recognition from the University of New South Wales and the Academy of Surgical Educators of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She is also an Examiner to the Court of General Surgery and an active researcher. Her research collaborations in Lynch syndrome have led to the NSW Premier's Award for Excellence in Translational Cancer Research. Consultations with Dr Kim are available at Kogarah and Hurstville.
