A/Prof Astin Lee

A/Prof Astin Lee is an accomplished cardiologist and respected medical professional with over two decades of experience in the field of cardiology. He graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1997. Dr. Lee received cardiology training at Westmead Hospital in 2003 and completed an interventional fellowship in 2004.

Dr. Lee has been a cardiologist at Wollongong Hospital since 2005 and currently serves as the Director of Cardiology at Wollongong and Shellharbour Hospitals. In addition, he holds the position of Head of Cardiac Services for the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. Dr. Lee is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong School of Medicine.

As the founding partner of The Cardiac Centre NSW, the largest private cardiology practice in the region, Dr. Lee ensures a broader reach of his expertise by traveling to various hospitals, including Wollongong Private Hospital, Wollongong Hospital, Shellharbour Hospital, and Hurstville Private Hospital.

Dr. Lee's main specialty is comprehensive cardiac care, including diagnostic and interventional cardiology. He is dedicated to partnering with his patients, empowering them to actively participate in their treatment and become key players in their own health management. Dr. Lee firmly believes in achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients' heart health and strives to ensure that they remain healthy beyond the effectiveness of medications.

Fluent in English, Dr. Lee also speaks Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and Malay, allowing him to provide care to a diverse range of patients. He is well qualified, holding multiple medical qualifications including MBBS (Hons) Syd, FRCP (London), FRACP, FCSANZ, FACC, FESC, FSCAI.
