Dr Sanjay Adusumilli

Meet Dr Sanjay Adusumilli, a General and Colorectal Surgeon working under the Sydney West Area Health Service. With his expertise, he provides surgical care and treatment for both public and private patients. Having graduated from Monash University in 2003, Sanjay completed his surgical training at Westmead Hospital before being accepted into the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand training program in 2010. Additionally, he has undergone advanced training in colorectal surgery at Fremantle Hospital in Western Australia and Oxford University Hospitals in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a consultant before returning to Australia.    Sanjay’s practice includes surgeries for general surgical conditions and colorectal disorders. He is proficient in advanced laparoscopic surgery and is qualified to perform minimally invasive surgeries. He is also trained in robotic surgery and conducts gastroscopies and colonoscopies. His cancer patients receive necessary treatment at the Westmead Hospital Colorectal Multidisciplinary team meetings.    Earning his Masters of Surgery from the University of Sydney, Sanjay has published numerous papers on diverse areas including colonic bleeding, faecal incontinence, obstructed defecation, and single incision surgery. With his vast expertise and qualifications, Sanjay is dedicated to delivering the best surgical care for his patients.
