Dr Chris Nahm

Dr. Chris Nahm is an accomplished Consultant Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and General Surgeon with extensive experience in complex liver, pancreas, and bile duct surgeries. He obtained his medical degree with honours from the University of New South Wales and went on to complete his specialist training in General Surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital, receiving fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016. With a keen interest in pancreatic cancer, Dr. Nahm pursued a research fellowship that led to the award of a PhD from the University of Sydney. Recognised for his exceptional skills in complex upper gastrointestinal and liver/pancreas surgery, Dr. Nahm ranked 1st nationwide in the Australia New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association Fellowship matching process. He subsequently completed a clinical fellowship at Westmead Hospital in Sydney in 2019, before moving to the United Kingdom to undertake a senior clinical fellowship in complex liver surgery and abdominal organ transplantation at St James's University Hospital in Leeds. Dr. Nahm is accredited in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery by ANZHPBA, the Australia New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association. He serves as an Editorial Board Member of HPB, the Official Journal of the International Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association (IHPBA), and will become Assistant Editor in 2022. He has published extensively on topics related to liver, biliary and pancreatic cancer, and is skilled in laparoscopic gallbladder and hernia surgery, as well as surgical resection of liver, pancreas, and biliary tract tumors. Dr. Nahm has a special interest in gallbladder and gallstone surgery, laparoscopic abdominal wall hernia repair, liver, pancreas, and bile duct tumors, and benign tumors of the stomach, such as gastrointestinal stromal tumors. With his profound knowledge and expertise, Dr. Nahm aims to provide the best possible care and treatment to his patients.
