Dr Rajni Tiwari

Dr Rajni Tiwari is a highly experienced Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist based at Westmead Public Hospital in Sydney, Australia. She started her medical journey at Gandhi Medical College in India where she earned her MBBS degree with four Gold Medals. Having completed her post-graduate training in England, Dr. Tiwari obtained her MRCP UK (Membership of Royal College of Physicians) and trained in Gastroenterology at Nottingham University Hospital UK, achieving a Speciality Certificate Examination (SCE). In 2017, she relocated to Australia to work as a Staff Specialist in Sydney.

Dr. Tiwari has a deep passion for research and actively participates in clinical trials. She serves as a sub-investigator for various studies on Metabolic Liver disease, Hepatitis, and Liver cancer. Additionally, she is a member of the Royal college of Physicians of Australia (RACP) and the Conjoint committee for Endoscopy certification GESA. Dr. Tiwari is enthusiastic about mentoring trainee doctors and is also involved in the education of junior doctors and medical students.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Tiwari provides individualized consultations with evidence-based care across all areas of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Her expertise encompasses Hepatitis, Fatty Liver disease, advanced Liver Cirrhosis, Liver Cancer, Upper GI disorders, colorectal cancer screening, and inflammatory bowel disease. She has accreditation in gastroscopy, colonoscopy with polypectomy, management of acute GI bleeding of any cause, dilatation of strictures, placement of PEG tubes, and capsule endoscopy (pill cam).

Dr. Tiwari holds visiting medical officer rights at Westmead Private Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital, and Lakeview Private Hospital. She is available for consultations at Westmead Hospital rooms once a week (Tues PM) and at Norwest on Saturdays. As an active member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), she is recognized for competence in adult gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and capsule endoscopy (pill cam).
