Dr Jacqueline McMaster is an accomplished neurosurgeon, born and raised in Australia. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the prestigious University of Sydney and her postgraduate medical degree from the University of Newcastle in 1998. Her impressive neurosurgical career was achieved through her training at Westmead and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals in Sydney. In recognition of her skills, she was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Neurosurgery in 2008.
Dr McMaster’s expertise in stereotactic and functional neurosurgical procedures was further advanced during her fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Her skills were honed and she returned to Australia to become a consultant neurosurgeon at Westmead Hospital. There she treats patients with various neurosurgical disorders, including both cranial and spinal issues, with a special focus on movement disorders.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr McMaster has taken on an important role at Westmead Public and Private Hospitals as director of neurosurgical training. Her dedication to the growth of the field of neurosurgery has also led her to participate in various international conferences and clinical trials as a principal investigator. Dr McMaster remains committed to providing her patients with the highest quality of care through her dedication to ongoing education and her drive to enrich the field of neurosurgery.
