Dr Jun Kim is a highly trained Neurosurgeon with specialized expertise in head injury, epilepsy, neuro-oncology, and cerebrovascular disorders. He obtained his medical degree from the University of New South Wales in 2008 and underwent extensive advanced neurosurgical training at various renowned medical centers across Australia and New Zealand. He was awarded the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2019 and completed a six-month fellowship in general Neurosurgery at Westmead Hospital.
Dr Kim's passion for cerebrovascular and skull base surgery led him to pursue further advanced clinical fellowship training at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, one of the largest academic institutions in North America. During this period, he received mentoring from world-renowned experts in the field, including Professors Babu Welch, Sam Barnett, and Hunt Batjer, who is a global leader in cerebrovascular surgery. Additionally, Dr Kim completed a six-month advanced clinical fellowship in paediatric neurosurgery at the Children’s Medical Centre in Dallas, Texas. This opportunity allowed him to gain expertise in the management of paediatric brain tumors, spina bifida, and laser interstitial thermal therapy.
