Dr. Mohamed Loghdey is a highly qualified dermatologist with an extensive educational and professional background in South Africa, the UK, and Australia. He received his undergraduate medical training from the University of Cape Town in 1995. Dr. Loghdey started his career as a Senior House Officer in general medicine at Groote Schuur Hospital and developed a keen interest in dermatology through exposure to connective tissue diseases.
He began his specialization training in dermatology at the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town in 1999, and became a Fellow of the College of Dermatologists of South Africa in 2003. Following his training, Dr. Loghdey relocated to the UK in 2004 and became a Consultant Dermatologist in the NHS. In 2011, he completed a 12-month fellowship at the prestigious Oxford Dermatology Skin Surgery Unit for Mohs Micrographic Surgery, dermatological, and laser surgery. In 2012, he was selected for another 12-month fellowship in advanced Mohs Surgery, Dermatological Surgery, and Laser Surgery at Nottingham Dermatology Unit in the UK. Here, he gained substantial experience in treating Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans and published research in this field.
In 2013, Dr. Loghdey relocated to Australia, completed his Australian Medical Council Examinations, and achieved Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2014.
Dr. Loghdey's practice is located in Westmead, Sydney, and he is affiliated with Ramsay Surgical Centre Miranda. He offers advanced treatments in surgical and non-surgical dermatology, with a particular focus on Mohs micrographic surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.
